An East Coast native, Dennis was raised in a hard-working, middle-class family that believed in education. He moved to the Midwest to attend Northwestern University where he pursued his interest in the sciences, graduating in 1978 with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. Dennis then joined IBM in Chicago and focused on honing his business skills. While working full-time, he went to law school and raised a family. Dennis was the first member of his family to become a lawyer, became an editor of the law review and graduated 2nd in his law school class.
Dennis is all about creating value for his clients. His combined technical, business and legal skills have given him a unique perspective on technology law and business. He likes sharing his professional experience with his colleagues at Gallitano & O'Connor. In addition, he enjoys the intellectual challenges of his practice and the personal relationships he has forged with his clients.
He continues to be involved in various industry organizations, devoting a great deal of time to advancing technology negotiating principles. His activities include serving as a faculty member at the University of Illinois at Chicago and as an Advisory Board Member of the DePaul University College of Law, Center for Intellectual Property and Information Technology. Dennis also provides pro bono legal services as outside general counsel to the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives.
