Heidi spent her formative years growing up in Columbus, Ohio. Throughout her upbringing, Heidi's parents encouraged a strong work ethic, academic excellence and attainment of a professional degree.  After graduating magna cum laude from college, Heidi decided to pursue a legal career. The choice proved to be a fortuitous one, as Heidi excelled in law school where she served as an editor of the law review.

Heidi launched her legal career as a trial attorney in Los Angeles with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) under the Attorney General's Honors Program, a prestigious, centralized recruitment program that is the only avenue for new attorneys to enter the DOJ in an attorney position. Although she enjoyed government practice and traveling throughout California, Heidi desired to return to the Midwest and sought out opportunities in private practice.

Upon her return to the Midwest, Heidi joined a large law firm as a corporate transactional lawyer, where she focused her practice on information technology, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. As the e-commerce industry exploded in the 1990s, Heidi found her practice gravitating exclusively to technology transactional work. Over the years, Heidi has gained extensive experience in information technology and business process outsourcing transactions.  Her general corporate background and training, in addition to her technology transactions experience, provides Heidi with a well-rounded perspective from which to advise the firm's clients.

When she is not working, Heidi spends her time shuttling her two elementary-aged children to and from various sporting events or taking care of their golden retriever. She enjoys traveling with her family, downhill skiing and reading.
