Dennis J. Gallitano concentrates his practice in information technology in the university and higher education, health care, automotive, financial and communications industries. Mr. Gallitano is ranked "AV Preeminent" by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the highest possible Peer Review Rating. Mr. Gallitano's scope and breadth of experience in information technology is significant, and includes software licensing, outsourcing arrangements involving both technology and business processes, software development transactions, licensing operational and business support systems for communications companies, development of Voice over IP technology, equipment transactions, including communication carrier switches, routers, gateways, intelligent highway systems, open road tolling systems, microwave digital equipment, and imaging equipment. He has also negotiated several fiber optic joint ventures and communications systems procurements on behalf of governmental entities, including the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority and the State of Illinois in its purchase of state-wide telecommunication services.

Because of his strong software and communications background, he became heavily involved in the development of the e-commerce industry. A watershed engagement spearheaded by Mr. Gallitano included representing General Motors in the formation of Covisint, the automotive B2B exchange involving GM, Ford, DaimlerChrysler and Renault/Nissan. He also was involved in either forming or representing significant joint venture participants in the following industry exchanges: paper and forest products, energy, pharmaceutical and retail services.

Dennis earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law (1984) where he graduated with honors. While at DePaul, he served as Editor of the DePaul Law Review. He received a bachelors degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Northwestern University (1978). Dennis is the past President of Elk Grove Village (1993-1997) and previously served as a Village Trustee from 1984 to 1993. In his elected official capacity, Dennis served on a variety of governmental councils and associations, including the U.S. Conference of Mayors, Northwest Municipal Conference, Joint Action Water Agency of Northern Cook County, Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County, and the Chicago Transportation Study Group (CATS).

Dennis previously was employed by IBM in various capacities, including as a systems engineer.
